Pulmonary function laboratory
- Spirometry (flow-volume curve) to record the dynamic lung volumes
- Whole-body plethysmography to measure airway resistance and static lung volumes
- Respiratory mechanics (p01, MIP, MEP)
- Diffusion capacity of carbon monoxide (DLCO)
- Bronchoprovocation test (methacholine and mannitol) and measurement of exhaled nitric oxide (eNO)
- Arterial blood gas analysis
- Oxygen titration, home oxygen therapy and controls
- 6-minute walk test
- Spiroergometry and mobile spiroergometry (MOB)
Sleep laboratory
- Nocturnal pulse oximetry (monitoring of nocturnal hyperbaric therapy and sleep apnea screening)
- polygraphy
- Polysomnography
- Tests to objectify the tendency to fall asleep (MSLT, MWT)
- Transcutaneous carbon dioxide measurement (nocturnal capnography)
- Initiation and monitoring of treatment with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP/auto-CPAP)
- Initiation and monitoring of home ventilation (bi-level) including evaluation of internal device data
Endoscopy
- Flexible bronchoscopy (outpatient and inpatient)
- Diagnostic fiber bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), transbronchial biopsy, fine needle aspiration (FNP), punch biopsy and autofluorescence
- Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) with fine needle aspiration
- Argon therapy, laser application and stent implantation
- Removal of foreign bodies
- Placement of probes for brachytherapy (in close cooperation with radio-oncology) - Pleural examinations (thoracoscopy, ultrasound, puncture)
- Pleural sonography, pleural puncture
- Insertion of pleural drainage (Matthys and Bülau drainage)
- Ultrasound-guided transthoracic pleural biopsy
- Medical thoracoscopy (chest endoscopy)
- Biopsy of the parietal pleura, adhesiolysis in selected cases
- Talc pleurodesis as part of medical thoracoscopy and in rare cases conventionally

Die allgemeine Lungensprechstunde klärt Patientinnen und Patienten mit respiratorischen Symptomen wie Husten, Auswurf, Atemnot, inklusive Lungenbeschwerden nach COVID ab.
Spezialsprechstunde Asthma
Abklärungen und Behandlung von Patienten mit Asthma und ähnlichen Erkrankungen. Therapien mit Biologika, Zusammenarbeit mit der Allergologie und der HNO-Klinik.
Spezialsprechstunde Atem- und Schlafstörungen
Abklärungen von Schlafstörungen, Schlafapnoe, Bewegungsstörungen im Schlaf, Parasomnie, Insomnie, Hypersomnie.
