Which forms are required by the French tax office?
Cross-border commuters from France working at the University Hospital Basel receive an "Attestation de résidence fiscale française des travailleurs frontaliers franco-suisses" (form 2041-ASK or form 2041-AS) from their authorities.
Cross-border commuters must collect this form from the tax office in France, complete it and have it confirmed by the tax office. The form must then be submitted to the University Hospital Basel.

Where do I pay tax if I live in France and work in Switzerland?
Cross-border commuters from France who work at Unispital Basel are not subject to tax deduction in Switzerland (withholding tax). They pay taxes in France.
However, France reimburses 4.5% of the gross salary of cross-border commuters to Switzerland, thus ensuring financial compensation.

Can I work from home as a cross-border commuter?
As a cross-border commuter, you have the opportunity to work part of your workload from your home office - up to a maximum of 40% of your workload.
