Together with the university hospitals in Geneva, Bern and Lausanne, the USB has joined the federal government's "Exemplary Energy and Climate" initiative.

The year 2023 was characterized by various initiatives in training at the USB: The aim was to increase awareness of the USB as an attractive training location and to create a positive mindset towards the USB among the target group through exciting experiences.

Anyone who works at the USB sees their interests represented by the Staff Committee. The PeKo, which is elected by the employees, works in the form of working groups on collective issues such as working hours or salary adjustments.

The USB supports projects in Tanzania so that people with HIV can get the treatment they need. Our infectiologist Prof. Maja Weisser Rohacek is right in the middle of it all.
