Green Team USB

It began in spring 2022 with non-binding introductory meetings and by the end of the year had grown into a group of almost 60 interested and committed employees from all professional groups and areas of the USB: in the "Green Team", employees can actively promote greater sustainability and initiate specific changes in their departments.

For example, the Green Team developed possible energy-saving measures and discussed ways of raising awareness of sustainability in the departments. Members of the Green Team have also initiated the recycling of polypropylene plastic bottles in the operating theater, the further expansion of drinking water dispensers and the conversion of USB printers to double-sided and black-and-white printing.

The members meet at least every two months. They exchange ideas, are inspired by the ideas of others and network with people who have the necessary skills for their projects. Do you work at the USB and would you like to join the Green Team? Then send an e-mail to nachhaltigkeit@usb.ch
