Medical practice assistants
Medical practice assistants (MPAs) are an important hub within patient management. The job profile combines administrative, organizational and medical tasks and involves a lot of patient contact.
MPAs work in most areas and clinics of the USB. They are an important interface between the administration and clinical areas and thus contribute to the successful completion of all treatments. They also assist with certain examinations and manage consumables.
As an MPA at the University Hospital Basel, we offer you attractive professional development opportunities and family-friendly working models. The role is also a suitable stepping stone for other professions at the hospital (e.g. MTRA). There is also the opportunity to train as a vocational trainer.
Further development opportunities
If you have completed vocational training as an MPA, you have the opportunity to complete higher specialist training (HF) at the USB in the following areas:
- Biomedical analysis HF
- Medical-technical radiology HF (MTRA)
