Medical-therapeutic professions

The therapists in the three specialist areas are responsible for maintaining and/or regaining the ability to function and act in the acute inpatient area. They are committed to minimizing symptoms and complications by working in prevention, prehabilitation and (highly) specialized aftercare with innovative concepts. Close interdisciplinary cooperation and the application of the latest scientific findings are particularly important for successful rehabilitation.

The speech therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists provide the range of services from pre- to aftercare in a timely manner, 365 days a year. As experts in their field, they offer highly specialized and patient-oriented therapy. They empower, support and coach patients personally and individually. The aim is always to improve their ability to function and act, as well as their general quality of life. Patients and, if necessary, their relatives are involved in the therapeutic process.

For us as a university hospital, regular further training is a matter of course and an obligation. It enables us to perform the demanding tasks involved in therapeutic work with our patients to a high standard every day. We offer regular in-house training courses on specialist topics for therapy staff.

There are also numerous external in-service training opportunities - from individual training courses to comprehensive courses leading to a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) or Master of Advanced Studies (MAS).
