Internship opportunities at the USB

The nutritional counseling service at the University Hospital Basel advises inpatients and outpatients on nutritional issues. The close interdisciplinary cooperation with doctors, other MTT professional groups and nursing ensures that individual nutritional therapy or advice is provided for each patient. This is adapted to the respective needs, depending on the clinical picture, and is correspondingly effective.

As a specialist in nutritional counseling, you advise and support people to achieve a better quality of life. Your patients have different nutritional needs due to illnesses such as diabetes mellitus, kidney disease, gastroenterological complaints, malnutrition, tumors or after a major operation.

You pass on your knowledge: you train groups and organizations in nutritional issues of all kinds and provide nutritional education, information and advice.

For students of the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Bern University of Applied Sciences Health and the FFHS Distance-Learning University of Applied Sciences Switzerland, the USB offers various internships for individual practical modules or for the additional module B and accompanies and supports them during this time.

You can find information about the course here:
