Specialist in care EFZ

As a childcare specialist, you accompany, encourage and support the children in their personal development. You will recognize the children's emotional, physical and everyday needs, respond to them and act appropriately. In our in-house daycare center "SpatzenNest", the children of our employees, aged 3 months to 4 years, are cared for in mixed-age groups. Teamwork, communication and flexibility play a major role here.

Applicants who have already completed a one-year internship in our daycare center will be given preference for the EFZ childcare specialist apprenticeship. You can find open internship positions here under the keyword "Internship".

Your 3-year training as a childcare specialist takes place at the University Hospital Basel in the in-house or internal daycare center "SpatzenNest" at Mittlere Strasse 93 in Basel.

Depending on the year of training, you will attend classes at the vocational college in Basel 1-2 days a week.

• Completion of compulsory schooling, level E
• Enjoy working with babies and toddlers - that's probably the be-all and end-all

The vocational baccalaureate complements your basic vocational training with an extended general education. It gives you access to a university of applied sciences.
