Nursing internship (care internship)

Nursing internship for medical students

The nursing internship for medical students is a compulsory part of the degree course in human medicine. This nursing internship lasts four weeks and gives you a valuable insight into the nursing field.

During your internship, you will learn about the work of the nurses at the USB and support them wherever you can. You will get to know everyday life at the hospital and gain your first experience in patient care.

Whether on a surgical or medical ward, in the women's or eye clinic: you can complete your nursing internship wherever there is a ward. You will actively care for patients, receive an introduction to patient observation and take part in doctors' rounds.

For medical students, the four-week nursing internship is a mandatory part of their studies and must be completed by the end of the 2nd semester.
